We decided to enroll Ira in PlanetSpark’s public speaking and spoken English classes because she was extremely quiet in school discussions. Her teachers often said that she understood topics well but avoided speaking up in class. As parents, we felt that confidence and communication skills are just as important as academic grades.

The trial session went well, and Ira seemed comfortable with the teacher. So we decided to go ahead with the course.

The first few weeks were honestly a bit confusing. One thing that bothered us initially was a teacher change after the first few sessions. Ira had just started getting comfortable with the first teacher, so when the instructor changed, she felt awkward again and became quiet during class. However, things started improving after the first month. The new teacher made an effort to understand Ira’s comfort level and slowly encouraged her to speak more during activities. The sessions included storytelling, describing pictures, and small debate-style questions. I noticed that the teacher wasn’t overly strict about grammar in the beginning. Instead, the focus was on making Ira speak without hesitation.

Around the third or fourth month, we started noticing small but meaningful changes. Ira began sharing her opinions more openly at home. She also volunteered once to explain a science project in school, which was something she would normally avoid.

That’s when I realized that PlanetSpark communication classes are not about instant transformation. They work more gradually. The confidence builds over time rather than appearing suddenly.

From my perspective, the experience has both sides. On the negative side, there were small technical issues and the teacher change that took some adjustment. On the positive side, the classes are interactive, the curriculum focuses on speaking skills, and the teachers try to make children comfortable while expressing themselves.

If another parent asked me whether PlanetSpark is perfect, I would say no platform is. But if the goal is to help a child practice speaking regularly and slowly build confidence, then the program can definitely help when given enough time.
