I never thought confidence could be something you see growing in such small moments.

Before joining PlanetSpark, Aarav wasn’t the kind of child who would speak up easily. In school, he knew answers but rarely raised his hand. At home, he was comfortable, talkative even. But outside? He would shrink into silence.

If a guest asked him a question, he’d look at me instead of answering. If his teacher called his name, he’d stand up but struggle to say even a simple sentence clearly.

Over the next few weeks, those one-word answers slowly turned into sentences. Then into small explanations.

The biggest change wasn’t in class — it was at home.

One evening, I casually asked, “How was your day?” expecting the usual “fine.”

Instead, he said, “It was good because we had a science activity, and I got to explain my project.”

Explain. That word stayed with me.

Aarav had started wanting to express himself.

Now, a few months later, he still isn’t the loudest kid in the room. But he doesn’t avoid speaking anymore.

He participates. He tries. And most importantly, he doesn’t feel scared of being wrong.

That’s what confidence looks like for me now — not perfection, but willingness.
