What if I were alive in Ancient Egypt?

The Pyramids in ancient Egypt are certainly interesting to think about. They are very large structures created for their beloved Pharaoh. These prove they had technologically advanced as they could not have created such magnificent buildings otherwise. This civilisation has another feature that bolstered the intricacies of the Pyramid - the specialisation in workers. Let us delve deeper and see what the Pyramids would look like if we were alive when the Egyptians built them.

The pyramids were an important part of Egyptian civilization. Often people have the misconception that the pyramids were built in honour of their Pharaoh’s death. However, they were built to honour the life of their Pharaohs. This is because they highly valued their time on Earth. They even thought of their afterlife to be eternal life on Earth. This majestic architectural work was majorly built in present-day- Giza.

These structures were complex builds and made of extremely heavy stones. They used limestones, granite, basalt, mortar, and baked bricks. The height of the Great Pyramid of Giza is 146 metres, which is about 24 full adult men! It spans over a space of 230 metres too. Deep inside the pyramids, you can find the Pharaoh’s body.
