Unveiling the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi: Celebrate Gandhi Jayanti with us!

Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated on the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, which falls on the 2nd of October. The day is a national holiday and is celebrated every year with much enthusiasm all over India to respect the great leader. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born in 1869 in Porbandar, Gujarat. He went on to become one of the most respected freedom fighters and came to be known as Mahatma Gandhi and the Father of Nation.

India is a democratic country, and Mahatma Gandhi was the pioneer of democracy in India. He fought for the people and freed them from the clutches of the British colonists. He never wanted to become a prime minister or a president, but he wanted to make every man independent and powerful. His dream was to see India as an independent nation. Hence, we celebrate the 2nd of October as Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti every year.

Gandhi ji is popularly known as the Father of India. since he was the one who fought for the freedom of the Indian people from British rule. He followed the path of non-violence and taught us that violence is not always a solution to all problems.

We celebrate this day by remembering his contributions to the freedom movement and taking inspiration from his life and works. We should follow his principles in our daily life to make India great again.

Gandhi Jayanti is also referred to as the International Day of Non-Violence. On this day worldwide, people from various communities come forward and work for peace, brotherhood, and harmony. This day of peace is marked by organising various events such as speech competitions, seminars, workshops, essay writing contests, etc. In most schools, students are asked to write a speech on Gandhi Jayanti, which is generally held in the schools during the morning assembly.

As a child, he was shy and loved to read. He studied law in London and became a lawyer. But he gave up his career to fight for freedom from British rule in India.

Gandhi ji led an amazing life that inspired people worldwide to fight for justice and peace without using violence. He was famous for his peaceful protests, hunger strikes, and non-violent resistance against injustice and racial discrimination. Many activists today still use Gandhian principles in their fights against injustice and inequality.

Gandhi ji, with his belief in non-violence and peace, started a Satyagraha movement against the British rulers and inspired many Indians to participate in the freedom struggle. Under the leadership of Gandhiji, many people came forward to get independence for their country.
