Requirements

⏱️ Approximately 10–15 minutes per module session (3 videos × ~3 minutes + practice time).

About This Course

Who This Course Is For?

This course is designed for kids who want to speak confidently, express their ideas clearly, and develop strong debating skills in a fun and interactive way. It is perfect for children who enjoy sharing opinions, participating in discussions, asking questions, or performing on stage. Whether a child feels shy while speaking, struggles to organise thoughts, or wants to improve confidence in school activities, this course provides the right guidance. Through engaging debates, real-life topics, and structured speaking practice, children will learn how to think critically, communicate respectfully, and present ideas with confidence.

Course Structure

Part 1 – Introduction to Debating (Modules 1–4)

Children will learn the basics of debating, understand “for” and “against” viewpoints, and develop confidence in expressing their ideas clearly. They will also learn attention-grabbing debate openings and speaking techniques.

Part 2 – Core Debate Skills (Modules 5–8)

This section focuses on building logical thinking and argument skills. Children will learn how to differentiate facts from myths, structure strong arguments, and support ideas using examples, stories, and relatable situations through fun practice debates.

Part 3 – Debate Formats & Real-World Topics (Modules 9–12)

Kids will explore different debate formats and practise debates on school topics, environmental issues, social themes, and value-based discussions. This helps them think from multiple perspectives and communicate respectfully.

Part 4 – Advanced Speaking & Final Practice (Modules 13–15)

In the final section, children will improve creativity, humour, listening skills, and counterargument techniques. They will participate in final debate practice sessions and receive feedback to improve confidence and overall speaking performance.
