How Many Animals?

India has rich biodiversity with elephants, tigers and leopards, and 3/4 tigers and 3/5 Asiatic elephants are found here.

Number of elephants in Karnataka = 6049
Number of elephants in Kerala = 3054
Total elephants = 6049 + 3054
= 6000 + 3000 + 49 + 54
= 9000 + 103
= 9103

There are 9103 elephants in these two states.

Number of leopards in Gujarat = 1355
Number of leopards in Karnataka = 1131
Number of leopards in Madhya Pradesh = 1817
Total leopards = 1355 + 1131 + 1817
= 1355 + 1131 = 2486
= 2486 + 1817 = 4303
