Subject: Rising problem of water scarcity
Sir/Madam,
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like
to draw attention to the serious issue of water scarcity in our
city. With the increasing population and rapid urbanization, the
demand for water has risen significantly, while the supply
remains insufficient.
The situation is worsened by the wastage of water, leaking
pipelines, and lack of proper water management. Many areas
face acute shortages, especially during summer, causing
inconvenience to residents.
To tackle this problem, rainwater harvesting should be made
compulsory. People must be encouraged to conserve water and
avoid unnecessary wastage. Authorities should repair leaking
pipelines and ensure proper distribution of water.
I hope the concerned authorities will take immediate steps to
address this issue before it becomes more severe.
Yours sincerely,
XYZ
