    Frequently Asked Questions

Most verbs simply take 'ing', but if a verb ends in 'e', we usually drop the 'e' before adding 'ing' (e.g., make → making).

Verbs with a short vowel before a single final consonant usually double the consonant (e.g., run → running).

Through fill-in-the-blank sentences and matching exercises that reinforce present participle usage in everyday contexts.
