Children do not develop writing skills during copying down notes from the black or whiteboard, nor do they enjoy writing when they are given a deadline to finish a piece of write-up. So how do they develop an interest in writing? What will make them engrossed in writing? Here is how your child can develop, improve and excel in their writing skills.
Explain the purpose of writing
Writing without a goal will suppress the interest of the child to create their best write-up. Explain the purpose of wiring. No, it's not always about the gifts or rewards; just some positive comments are enough to keep them going. However, you have to make the comments interesting enough that they can look forward to. Keep a bundle of words ready like accurate, original, interesting, engaging, creative, etc. This will keep them excited and motivated to write.
Explore A Wide Range Of Topics For Reading
Let the children read and explore a wide range of topics and find out the ones that they would love to write about. Ask the children to note down the topics that they loved to read throughout the week. Inform them that they would write about something or someone they loved to explore that week.

Use Of Technology
Take the children’s writing interests to another level. Ask them to browse through the net and find more information about the topic that they found interesting. The purpose here is to get more word collection, appropriate word choice, generate more ideas around the topic, revision of the spellings and sentence structure, in other words allowing them to dive deep into the topic they love.
Writing About Something Or Someone You Love
Encourage the children to write within a time limit after they have all of the components needed to generate a write-up so that they do not feel nervous but remain focused on the assignment since they are aware that they must do it within a certain amount of time.
Keep Practising!
Once they hand over the write-up, correct the mistakes politely, you may also ask them to re-write a few sentences that would go better with the phrases. And continue this practice of writing. Children tend to become bored when a similar writing process is practised for a longer time. So, the key here is to include some activities, enrolling them in an English class where they get co-learners and enjoy learning with their peers.
