Dear Mumma and Papa,

How are you? I’m sorry I did not write a letter to you last week. Please don’t worry; everything is fine here at granny’s place. I’m well here, and we miss you every day.

I’m happy to share my result with you both. Just like last year, I have scored 95% marks in my final term! I am also sending a copy of my report card along with this letter. Thank you, mumma and papa. This wouldn’t have been possible without you both. I love you!

Papa, do you remember that you had promised me a present at the beginning of the term 1 exam? I promised to do better in Mathematics, and I scored full marks! I don’t want any material present this time. All I want is a pet dog. You know how badly I want a dog! I play with all other people’s pets, but now I want to have my own dog. I know, mum, that you are worried. I remember how worried you were the last time I suggested this idea. You said that having a pet dog was a big responsibility. I completely agree with you, and I understand your concern. I promise that it won’t be a burden on us.

Mumma, I am learning to take care of a dog from granny, and I’m preparing myself to become a dog’s best friend. Granny has even taught me some dog training tricks and some dog recipes! I promise to take our dog on regular walks, feed it and also bathe it. I promise I will do everything to take care of it like my sibling. Our teacher says that a dog is a man’s best friend, and she also says that they are the best pets to have. I have done some research and found out with the help of granny that Labradors are the easiest dogs to train. I promise it will be the best decision for the family. I don’t want anything else.

Also, we will not shop but adopt a stray dog. Stray dogs, too, deserve all the love. I hope you also agree with the same.
